A new de Dion-style setup replaces the old live axle, more than doubling wheel travel (from 2.3 inches (58mm) to five inches (127mm)) and trimming 68 pounds (30 kg) of unsprung weight . Dual emulsion shocks, a Watts linkage, and a sway bar keep the ride smooth and the chassis planted through corners. The preload knob now sits below the left passenger footboard for quick, tool-free tuning, making every mile feel composed, confident, and unmistakably Harley-Davidson.
